mind over what matters!

I have in the past blogged everyday for months on end. Now its almost been a month shame on me. I like this blogging thing, not that there are lots of people that read my stuff. I just get to get stuff out of me so I feel better. I have a couple of friends I see regularly one recently left a job and is staring a new career. I hope him the best . The other had a heart attack a few weeks back. I wish him the best also. The way I met them was hanging out at a coffee shop and being in there so much that when they had a cookout for some type of benefit I was invited. Now they do these cooks to help some cause. Hey are making sure the world and hopefully God notices they are do gooders. Yes there good folks by worldly standards. One the new career man is very concerned that all know he’s doing what’s good. The other is less worried about image as with morality but, neither will allow the bravado of their manly armor to show the rest of us their frailties. Their wife’s counsel to them about is taking time to enjoy what matters in life. But, being the Alfa males and the intense need to succeed, they only see the need to make money to support the family not be part of the process. They do not take time to smell the roses as on saying goes. We all need to understand that no matter how much we worry about it, we can’t change it. No matter how much you try to be good you can not be good enough either.

Matthew 6:27
27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

Ephesians 2:8-10
8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
